PLAYDAY
Last Sunday (27th July) we had our first family picnic at Chepstow Castle, Gwen loved it and loved walking around the Castle, tricky steep stairs being no problem. She now has her own picnic bag which she loves and carried it everywhere when helping darth stoat move, and on Friday when helping another friend

AT HOME
Garden has sprung into life, if I had known we would still be here in August I'd have planted veg and tomatoes. Although I have ordered Autumn stir fry veg, after AGREEING WITH Jenny (see tea daemon's journal). Herbs growing faster than I can harvest and dry them, Garlic seems to be close to harvesting (should be September). Gwen's (fried egg - forgotten real name) flowers have finally flowered which is fun as she has grown them from seed.

HOUSE
Garden has been spruced up for sale window ledges, gate, handrail and step edges have all been repainted. We intend to repaint the kitchen (just have to figure out the logistics of how and when). All in time for change of agents hopefully we will have more success this time.

GAMES
Big noise this year is all for Agricola, but beware it is a very unforgiving game, I cannot believe how high it is on gamboardgeek, even worse how can people rate a game they haven't played? Also at £43.00 it is not cheap. My fave of the recent batch is Stone Ag, by the same people as St. Petersburg which is noticeable, but is more fun with al little more luck.

After the world cup I was happy with a Triple Crown, but Grand Slam is even better.  The world is a much better place now, and the team is only going to get better Woo Hoo

 

In last weeks property mail was a new build in the vale of Glamorgan, which caused  a double take:-
 A new three bedroom bungalow with an openplan ground floor ?(there was a picture to show no dormer level).
Tickled my sense of humour.

Life at home is getting fun as pinker (AKA Gwen) is getting more interactive by the day and can now say yes, as opposed to no for yes and no.  Upsetting for custard mite but a major highlight for me was when Gwen hit her head she shouted for Daddy not Mummy.

Gwen now has her second pair of shoes, now a 3 1/2 F.  There should have been a choice but first pair were pink and before the others appeared Pinker was trying to put them on   she loves pink.

Music now being chosen for Pinker as she is getting into dancing which is very entertaining.

1.  We lost to Fiji how bad is that (what a time to pick the first time to lose to Fiji), although I think Fijis record in this world cup is great they are  the only team where are all the players in the squad were homeborn.

2. Not a good time to have an English father in law.  Although good news is England will keep Ashton as coach which is god news as he is rubbish.

3.  Australia Lost ?????

4. France beat New Zealand what a result. What a match.

5. Now who will win South Africa look a bit weak, Argentina could make the final the would be great for rugby.

I think I have just learnt how to do a userpic (If not picture Gwen in a bucket).
On Gwen front she now walks everywhere and loves pushing her trolley at running speed, she alos goes to bed earlier on Sunday she was aslep by 8:30 pm we had time for a game (Vikings) brilliant.

Have also started building my train set at last.
